  • MAPs are the civilian marketplace equivalent (Medicare Part C) of OM. 
  • MAPs are state regulated, so there are numerous variations available in each state. 
  • Yes, you will still have TRICARE for Life to act as your MAP supplement. 
  • Avoid MAPs that include pharmacy coverage (Medicare Part D), it will interfere with your TRICARE pharmacy plan.  
  • There are pluses and minuses with MAPs, everyone must do their due diligence to see if it makes sense to drop OM for a MAP.
