On behalf of the Military Officers Association of America, I hope you and your family are gearing up for a fun and safe Independence Day! As I think about the upcoming holiday, I also reflect on the vision and courage our Founding Fathers displayed as they crafted our democracy.

Their spirit lives on throughout our country including here in our association, where we courageously strive to carry out our vision of positively impacting our uniformed services and veteran communities.

We particularly achieve positive impacts through our MOAA Charities.

  • The MOAA Foundation provides life-changing programs preventing and protecting active duty servicemembers, veterans, military spouses, caregivers, survivors, and families regardless of rank or branch of service from falling into crisis. When I talk about making positive impacts at MOAA, I like to highlight our foundation's Crisis Relief Program. In times of emergencies, like a natural disaster, we can provide financial relief quickly to community members who need it most.

  • The MOAA Scholarship Fund has provided a unique approach to financial aid for students of military families for over 75 years. Through interest-free loans, the fund has maintained fiscal stability year after year. While these loans are the fund’s backbone, we also have been able to significantly increase our grant allocations thanks to generous donors who recognize the value in higher education.

This Independence Day, join me in celebrating the success of our organization and the positive impacts we make by donating to The MOAA Foundation and/or MOAA Scholarship Fund. Your contribution, no matter the size, will make a profound difference. Together, we can honor the sacrifices made by our brave servicemembers and families while fostering a brighter future for all.

My sincere thanks to those who have already donated. For those of you who have not, there are three easy ways you can join me in supporting The MOAA Foundation and MOAA Scholarship Fund this Independence Day:

I hope you have a wonderful and safe holiday. Thank you for supporting our mission and your commitment to Never Stop Serving.
