The U.S. Postal Service released its annual holiday mailing deadlines this month, with some key dates coming up for those looking to send packages to servicemembers stationed overseas.
Here's a list of key shipping dates for expected (though not guaranteed) Dec. 25 delivery. Get more holiday mailing details and updates here.
Nov. 6: USPS Retail Ground service for Air/Army Post Office (APO), Fleet Post Office (FPO), and Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) service, all ZIP codes.
Dec. 9: Priority Mail and first-class mail service to APO/FPO/DPOs with ZIP code 093 only.
Dec. 11: Priority Mail and first-class mail service to APO/FPO/DPO (all other ZIP codes).
Dec. 14: USPS Retail Ground service
Dec. 18: Priority Mail Express to APO/FPO/DPO (except ZIP Code 093). First-class mail service from Alaska to contiguous U.S.
Dec. 19: Priority mail service from Alaska to contiguous U.S. Priority mail and first-class mail service from Hawaii to contiguous U.S.
Dec. 20: First-class mail (including greeting cards) and first-class packages up to 15.99 ounces.
Dec. 21: Priority Mail service (including Alaska/Hawaii to contiguous U.S.).
Dec. 23: Priority Mail Express service.
