MOAA Webinar: Can My Military Family Afford College?
Can’t make the webinar? No problem. Register now and we’ll send you a link to the recording.
Do you have a strategy to pay for your child’s college education?
You might need one: The average in-state student living on campus at a public institution will pay more than $27,000 per year in tuition, according to the Education Data Initiative. A student at a private, nonprofit university will pay more than double that, averaging nearly $59,000 per year.
Even if a student is entitled to Post-9/11 GI Bill benefits, parents still need a strategy: A plan to save for any remaining costs and to maximize entitlements, especially for households with multiple children looking to continue their education.
MOAA can help – and not just via the MOAA Scholarship Fund. Join Lila Quintiliani, MOAA’s program director for Financial and Benefits Education/Counseling, and Kate Horrell, a personal finance educator who is an expert in the Post-9/11 GI Bill and Yellow Ribbon Program, as they explore topics like:
Whether your scholars-to-be are in high school or you’re planning the long-term financial future for your growing family, this webinar can help you get past the sticker shock of college and craft a sound strategy to meet your educational goals
