Can’t make the webinar? No problem. Register now and we’ll send you a link to the recording.
Military retirees and their spouses may not realize their retirement pay stops at midnight on the day they die. Spouses can receive a lifetime, inflation-adjusted annuity, but only if the servicemember elected to participate in the Survivor Benefit Plan (SBP) -- a benefit requiring payments over 30 years, in most cases.
Unsure whether SBP is right for you? Have questions about the program, the payments, or the coverage options? MOAA can help.
Join Lila Quintiliani, MOAA’s program director for Financial and Benefits Education/Counseling, Jen Goodale, MOAA’s director of Government Relations for Military Family and Survivor Policy, and special guest Heather Walrath, lead education presenter and military benefits liaison at Navy Mutual, as we discuss why (or why not) the SBP might be a good choice for you and your family. We'll cover:
Whether you're recently retired from service and beginning your future financial planning, or you're farther along your journey, or you're a military spouse seeking clarity on the sometimes-confusing SBP process, this webinar will help you make critical decisions about your family's finances.
