… to the Southeastern New England (R.I.) Chapter, which recently raised through its annual golf tournament $9,000 for Operation Stand Down Rhode Island (OSDRI). OSDRI is the largest nonprofit provider of services to needy veterans in the state. Services include transitional housing, job training and search assistance, medical care, and counseling. OSDRI also maintains housing units for both male and female veterans.

… to the El Paso (Texas) Chapter, which along with the chapter’s Outreach Foundation donated a combined $1,050 plus a variety of canned food items to the Fort Bliss Junior Enlisted Food Bank. The food pantry provides services to E-5s and below. Additionally, the Outreach Foundation donated $500 for Hurricane Harvey relief/recovery to the Houston Area Chapter of MOAA.

… to the Acadiana (La.) Chapter for inviting World War II and Korean War veterans to its December meeting and Christmas party. The veterans shared war stories, and one veteran even wore his uniform from World War II.
