… to the Sarasota (Fla.) Chapter for continuing its longstanding relationship with the Pops Orchestra to support veterans. All profits from the orchestra’s two-performance concert series Neil Diamond’s America Nov. 12-13 to will be awarded through the Sarasota Military Officers Scholarship Fund to veterans attending accredited local colleges and technical schools.

… to the Contra Costa County (Calif.) Chapter for awarding $1,000 scholarships to three graduating Air Force Junior ROTC students from two high schools in Contra Costa County.

The scholarships were funded primarily by donations from chapter members. We hear the chapter plans to expand its scholarship program and is initiating a fundraising campaign targeting local business and corporate organizations.
