Councils and chapters that want to be considered for a Levels of Excellence Award need to submit a nomination package by March 1. Packages should be emailed to awards@moaa.org or mailed to MOAA, Council and Chapter Affairs, 201 N. Washington St., Alexandria, VA 22314. If mailed, all entries must be postmarked prior to March 1.
A standard set of rating criteria will be used to evaluate all councils and chapters that submit a package. Councils and chapters accumulating at least 220 of the maximum 240 total possible points will be recognized as five-star, and councils and chapters accumulating between 200 and 219 points will be recognized as four-star. All councils and chapters qualifying for a particular level of excellence will be recognized appropriately and given a special battle streamer in recognition of their selection.
