Born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas, Chastine is a graduate of the Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University.
Prior to being a full-time mom and Army spouse, she had the privilege of working on Capitol Hill and learning everything she could about legislative and government affairs, specifically regarding military, defense, and foreign affairs. She also worked for a boutique public relations firm.
She currently serves as the social media chair for the Spouses’ Club of Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. She served at the community outreach chair for the North Country Spouses’ Club at Fort Drum, N.Y., and was the public relations chair from 2015-2023 for three Army spouses’ clubs. She also serves as a board member for the D.C. based military related nonprofit Luke’s Wings.
She has been awarded Soldier and Family Readiness Group awards for volunteerism and leadership, and was nominated for Volunteer of the Quarter and Volunteer of the Year at their current military installation. She was recently awarded the Shield of Sparta from the National Infantry Association for her hard work and dedication to the 4-31 Infantry Battalion in the 10th Mountain Division.
In her free time, Chastine loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She is married to an Army infantry officer, and they have two wonderful children. She loves the Army life and being a part of a mission that is bigger than herself.
