Mission

The mission of Keystone Capital Chapter is to promote the aims of the Military Officers Association of America; encourage and facilitate camaraderie among retired, active, and former officers of the uniformed services; and provide useful services for, and support the rights and interests of, members and their dependents and survivors.

Information on Joining the Chapter

Membership in Keystone Chapel Chapter is open to men and women who are, or have been, commissioned or warrant officers of the seven US uniformed services. Widows and widowers of any deceased individual who would be, if living, eligible for membership. Chapter membership is Free for the first year.

Chapter Activities

Keystone Capital Chapter meetings feature guest speakers on a variety of topics of interest to members. The January meeting features the installation of chapter officers, while the November meeting is the annual general membership meeting, and the December meeting is a special Christmas party. The chapter supports 3 JROTC programs. The chapter funded 22 hospice rooms at the Lebanon VA Center, supports The US Army Heritage and Education Center at Carlisle Barracks, Wreaths Across America ceremony at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery and is currently undertaking support of the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors,Inc.

Legislative Issues

Keystone Capital Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and has gained a seat for MOAA on the Pennsylvania Veterans'Commission. The chapter is an active supporter of the Pennsylvania Council of Chapters, and at least two chapter members have served as president of that organization. Chapter members have served as members of various state boards and commissions and currently serve on the Pennsylvania War Veterans' Council and actively lobby legislators at the state capitol on legislation affecting veterans and their families.

General Information

Chapter evening meetings are dinner meetings usually beginning at 6:00 pm. Meetings in November, January and March during periods of potentially poor weather are at noon and also include lunch menus.

About Our Chapter

Keystone Capital Chapter was chartered in 1978 and serves, along with Cumberland Valley Chapter, the central part of the state. Meetings are normally held at the Radisson Penn Harris hotel in Camp Hill about 6 or 7 times per year, with Winter meetings frequently held in daylight hours. The chapter publishes a periodic newsletter prior to meetings and has a current membership of approximately 88 serving and former officers as well as survivors of former members.
