Chapter Mission Statement:

- To promote, protect the rights of, and foster relationships among active duty, National Guard, Reserve personnel, and veterans of the uniformed services and their families.
- Further the legislative and other objectives of MOAA and the Maryland Council of Chapters.
- Serve the community and the Nation.
- Support the national defense, particularly in times of war or national emergency.

The Chapter participates in legislative advocacy both at the national and state level. At the state level, we work through the Maryland Military Coalition (MMC). See https://mdmilcoalition.org/Home for further information on the MMC. Updates will be published at least weekly during the Legislative Session between January and April.

The Fort Meade Chapter was founded in 1991, and serves the Fort Meade area, primarily Anne Arundel and Howard Counties.
