Mission

The mission of MOAA is to benefit the members of the the uniformed services, their families and survivors and to advocate for a strong national defense, while providing needed support to the community and its members.

New Members: Help grow the Chapter membership! If you are, or have a prospect who is interested in joining please contact Robert (Vic) Reid at vic_reid@suddenlink.net to have them placed on our chapter information distribution list.

Chapter Activities

The chapter supports the Air Warrior Courage Foundation (AWCF) to help wounded veterans at the San Antonio Military Medical Center (formerly Brooke Army Medical Center). Every penny contributed to the AWCF helps our wounded veterans. No administrative overhead or program costs are taken out. The chapter presents MOAA medals and certificates to outstanding ROTC Cadets at Texas A&M University, Prairie View A&M and the JROTC unit at Brenham H.S.

Legislative Issues

Our MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda and we annually invite our Congressional Representatives and Senators to speak to the chapter. We also actvivly support the state council in various state veterans' issues.

General Information

Our chapter meetings are dinner meetings normally held at the Philips Event Center in Bryan, TX on the 3rd Tuesday of every other month with a social hour starting at 1800 (6:00 pm) and dinner being served at 1830 (6:30 pm). Our next Chapter dinner will be Tuesday, 16 April 2019. For information or an invitation please contact Bob Thomas at rwthomas65@gmail.com. Our yearly chapter dues are $15. The dinner meetings are $30 per person, including gratuity.
