Mission

To aid and support future military leaders by providing scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are planning to enroll and participate in an accredited Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) Program in a college or university. The Chapter is a public charity under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3).

To Advocate for and otherwise contribute to active duty, retired service members, veterans, their families, making sure all–regardless of branch of service or rank–receive earned benefits. We support National MOAA and Florida’s Council’s legislative agenda.

The Chapter is a non-profit, non-partisan, and tax-exempt organization, affiliated with National MOAA and the Florida Chapter of Councils, MOAA, not associated with the Department of Defense. The views expressed do not necessarily reflect the views of MOAA, the Florida Council of Chapters, The Chapter, or DOD.

Information on Joining the Chapter

ALL active duty, retired, National Guard, Reserve, and former commissioned officers and warrant officers of the uniformed services of the United States – Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration – are eligible for membership.

Surviving Spouse membership is also available for surviving spouses of deceased officers.

Associate membership is open to all Senior NCO’s of all service branches. Senior NCO’s have the same rights and privileges as regular members except the right to vote or serve as a member of the board.

Chapter Activities

The CCMOAA Chapter holds 9 meetings a year featuring guest speakers on topics relevant to the members. Installation of officers occurs in December.

Legislative Issues

The MOAA Chapter supports the MOAA national legislative agenda, and we annually invite our Congressional Representative and Senators to speak to the chapter. The chapter is also active in supporting the state council in various state veterans' issues. We have an active Legislative Affairs representative who keeps the chapter current on relevant issues in addition to encouraging members to write or email their members of Congress regarding bills that affect veterans. We also have a Chapter member who is on the Lee County Veterans Affairs Committee, who briefs members on issues at the national and local level based on MOAA legislative updates and from local veteran's organizations, composed of 23 veterans groups. Several of our members are very active with this group frequently serving as officers.

General Information

Our monthly breakfast meetings are held September-December and January-May at the Cape Royal Golf Club in Cape Coral, cost $12.00. Breakfast starts at 1000 with the meeting beginning around 1030.
